History
Work began in 1657 and continued for twenty-five years. Throughout the 17th century, the different altars and altarpieces were erected and are still preserved today, except for the one located on the main altar, which had to be reformed and dates from 1931.
The earthquake of January 2016 caused damage to the building, forcing it to close its doors. It is currently being restored.

In contrast to the sobriety of the façade, the beauty of the interior stands out, where we can see, today devoid of images, altars and altarpieces of great decorative richness, with the baroque style prevailing.
Some of them have already disappeared, such as the Virgen del Carmen, San Antonio or Inmaculada Concepción. Our Lady of Victory, Crowned Patron Saint and Honorary Perpetual Mayoress, is venerated in this church. The statue is temporarily housed in the church of the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús while the restoration work is being carried out.
Until 1797 it was the only cemetery in the city. Different crypts, some belonging to different brotherhoods and confraternities, house the remains of the former inhabitants of the Plaza.
